About RAM3D

RAM3D is the largest metal 3D printing service provider in the Southern Hemisphere, featuring an established high-tech manufacturing facility in Tauranga, New Zealand. In 2024, RAM3D has 13 Additive Manufacturing (AM) machines, one of the largest sites worldwide using Renishaw systems, and will manufacture more than 15,000 parts this year, with capacity to triple this production volume.

As a recognised leader in Additive Manufacturing (AM), RAM3D specialises in Selective Laser Melting (SLM) in Titanium 64, Stainless Steels 15-5ph & 316L, and Inconels 718 & 625 metal alloys. Metal 3D printing is well-suited to complex geometries, intricate shapes and structures. It improves on design constraints of existing production technologies as well as enables integrated design. This results in lighter, stronger, high quality and more efficient parts.

RAM3D has manufactured parts for more than 100 fixed wing drones, is an OEM supplier to some of the largest firearm manufacturers in the world, and has more than 8,000 successfully deployed parts for rocket engines (thrust chambers, injectors, fuel supply fittings, fuel pumps, impellors and housings, etc) and satellites (thrust chambers, injectors, fuel tanks, and fuel supply components) across the aerospace sector.

RAM3D is certified for ISO9001:2015; ITAR compliant; Australian Government End Use Certificate for the supply of Defence information and controlled goods; and has several client-specific QC systems in place.
